Visit ARTIS Zoo, one of the five oldest zoos in the world, and see animals, historic buildings, gardens, and exhibitions in the center of Amsterdam.
See monumental buildings, explore the botanical gardens, and stroll through the park to see Asian elephants and their young calves, or visit the newly renovated Kerbertterras, a Madagascar-inspired shared environment where ring-tailed lemurs, red ruffed lemurs, and radiated tortoises live together.
Your general admission ticket offers a complete experience, including entry to two major highlights. Journey into space at the ARTIS Planetarium to learn about stars, planets, and space exploration, or explore life underwater at the historic ARTIS Aquarium, which recently reopened after a major five-year renovation to showcase vibrant coral reefs and the aquatic life of Amsterdam’s canals.

Getting there:
By Public Transport: Take Tram 14 to the ARTIS/Holocaust Museum stop, which stops near the main entrance. Alternatively, Trams 7 and 19 (Alexanderplein stop) or the Waterlooplein metro station are both a 10-minute walk away
By Car: Paid parking is available just past the main entrance at Plantage Kerklaan 40. You can buy an all-day ticket at the ARTIS ticket office or pay the hourly rate directly at the parking lot machines
