Barcelona Zoo tickets will grant you an audience with about 2,000 animals of more than 300 species, plus special live displays and eco-friendly conservation programmes.
From giraffes to gorillas to goldfish, it’s got every ‘g’ animal you could dream of… and more! You can see the world’s largest lizards in the Komodo dragon enclosure, admire flocks of parrots and tropical birds in the aviary, or see pigs, ponies, and even a rare Catalan donkey in the child-friendly farmyard.
You’ll also learn all about animal behavior and habitats, and see the zoo’s ongoing conservation efforts and breeding programs in action. It’s a fantastically fun day out for kids and adults, and the perfect escape from the bustle of Barcelona.

- Kids under 3 get in free, no ticket required
- Reduced tickets for seniors and disabled visitors are available on-site with free entrance for their carers
On-site usage
- Access the zoo via Parc de la Ciutadella. The zoo access is next to the Equestrian statue to General Joan Prim. The secondary access on Carrer de Wellington is temporarily closed
- Skip the box office line and head straight to the turnstiles to enter
- You can use this Google Maps link to find the meeting point
After your visit
- Several picnic areas are available inside the Zoo; outside food is allowed in
- It’s not possible to leave the zoo and come back in with the same ticket
- Do not feed or pet the animals
